The 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and the New Urban Agenda were developed with active participation of civil society and community-based organizations. They are at the forefront in implementation and monitoring of global and regional agendas and key advocates for sustainable urban development, with vast local knowledge and the ability to reach those often left behind.
