Mobilising Kenyan cities and urban areas to support and promote inclusive actions and policies that address inequalities and barriers faced by older persons and persons with disabilities - Activity report by GAP stakeholders

Summary

This is a contribution from a member of GAP (General Assembly of Partners) reporting on progress in implementing the New Urban Agenda on the improvement of Ruiru Township mobility facilities and the installation of age and disability friendly foot bridges along major roads. The project aims to stimulate engagement and dialogues for older persons, persons with disability, facility users (especially motorcycle riders and hawkers) and the urban areas planning teams for a clear plan of action on inclusion of older persons and persons with disability in the deliberations of the new urban agenda and to ensure safe usage of foot bridges and walkways.
