Summary

The Cities Deep Dive document has been developed for “Participatory Urban Planning Implementation Model, Training and Capacity Development Programme for Istanbul” aiming to support the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to establish a coherent urban planning approach for a sustainable, innovative and inclusive urban development. This document provides a sound understanding of best practice participatory methods and frameworks from 12 cities around the world and extracted a number of lessons learned which are relevant to local context.
