The follow-up and review process of the New Urban Agenda ‘should […] be supplemented by contributions from the United Nations system, regional and subregional organizations, major groups and relevant stakeholders, and should be a continuous process aimed at creating and reinforcing partnerships among all relevant stakeholders and fostering exchanges of urban solutions and mutual learning’. (New Urban Agenda, para. 162.)

In the context of the preparations for the 2022 Secretary-General report on the progress in implementing the New Urban Agenda, UN entities prepared review reports. Inputs based on activities of UN entities, the UN Regional Commissions and UN Resident Coordinator’s Offices have been integrated in the Quadrennial report of the Secretary-General.
